APRIL 1ST

Well  where to start.......April 1st started out promising with the temp to be around 60 degrees or so.  The Fuzz Motorsports Team was ready....a long winter.......lots of changes and some practice...the driver, the crew chief and even the crew was ready.

The car decided it needed another day....the first practice went well...the car handled well and with some minor changes to the setup, the car was going to be good.

After the first practice a oil  leak was discovered in the oil cooler.  Ty and Tim thought it was minor and tried to fix it............but the car had other ideas.  As the car was started for a second practice..........the car decided it didnt like the taste of the oil and promptly spit out  a majority of the oil through the oil cooler.

Sensing this might be a sign, the Fuzz Motorsports Team decide to call it quits right there and not attempt to race the car without a oil cooler.

The Fuzz Motorsports Team stayed at the races and helped some of the other Legends drivers with their cars........(it was a demo derby kind of night).

Hopefully the demons have been dealt with and The Fuzz Motorsports Team can have a succesful season from here.

APRIL 15TH: CNS

The day started windy, cool and I thought possibly rain.  The car had been fixed so no more oil leak.

The practice sessions went well, with a few adjustments to the car.

Tim qualified the car in the 14th position out of 26 cars..........note here... for the first time Tim stayed in the top five qualifing times as ten to twelve cars qualified behind him.

The qualifing time put Tim on the outside front row of the second B main.  Tim jumped to the lead on the green flag but handling problems slowed the car to a seventh place finish.

The Bmain finish place Tim in the 20th starting position in the A main.  The start was smooth but Tim dropped back to the 22nd place and had to stay there the car continually got tighter as the 25 laps went on.

For those of you that are reading this when the car is tight......it means the car does not want to turn out of the corner........it wants to go towards the outside wall........very bad thing.

Tim finished in the 22nd place.........not bad for having new horsepower.

The Fuzz Motorsports Team will be back in action on April 29th at Colorado National Speedway.....SEE YA THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

APRIL 29th
Once again The Fuzz Motorsports Team battled CNS and the car. Throughout practice the car just didnt want to handle.
Qualifing, per normal, Tim qualified in the 22nd position. Tim started 7th in the first B-main, racing hard Tim advanced one position to 6th.
The A-main was a crashed strewn event, Tim avoided a crash by mere inches.  After numerous cautions and some hard driving, Tim found himself in 13th position, from a starting position of 19th.  9 laps into the race caution flew again, on the restart, a 2 dollar piece cost Tim a top 15 finish.  The shifter linkage broke just before the drop of the green flag, Tim had to be pushed into the pits finishing 22nd.
The Fuzz Motorsports Team thanks everyone that comes by and says Hi.
Hopefully the bad luck in behind the team now and the next race ought to be exciting.
The next race is May 13th at CNS......COME SEE US!!!!

May 13th

Well not much to tell........just look at the other dates its all the same.  Qualified 21st finished 24th.  The Fuzz Motosports Team has some severe handling problems.
The team is working hard on curing those problems..next race May 28th at CNS.
Because of the handling issue the Fuzz Motorsports Team has decided not to race at I25 Speedway on May 27th.
See ya on the 28th.

May 28th

NEWS FLASH......NEWS FLASH......THE FUZZ MOTORSPORTS TEAM HAS A GOOD RACE.
Thats right you saw it correctly a good race was had by Tim and the Team.
Qualifing........oh well......what can be said but Bmain Tim starts 10th finishes 8th or 9th depending on who's counting.
A-Main time, starting 17th, Tim drives the car to 14th place before a caution come out and Tim gives up two more spots on the restart.  You guess it another caution flew and with three laps to go, Tim gives up two more spots the car decided it was on too good of a run.
Tim ends up 18th on the night with a tight car but............its a TOP TWENTY FINISH FOR THE TEAM......We'll take it..not bad for having 32 cars attempt to make the race.
Next race I25 speedway on June 10th...see ya there!!!!!!!!!!

June 10th:

WELL......WELL........WELL.........ALITTLE CHANGE OF SCENERY DOES THE TEAM GOOD

Thats right you guess it The Fuzz Motorsports Team does well so well in fact that they finished in the top ten........yes folks thats right a top ten finish.
But thats not all Tim leads 7 1/2 laps of his b-main before a stupid mistake cost him the win.
From an outside pole position at the start of the A-Main....Tim and the team finished in 6th place.
Great racing in very hot conditions.  Whata night!!!!
See ya on June 17th at CNS.

JUNE 17TH
Well this day didnt start off like any of the other days....in the fact that the team didnt have to wrestle with the handling of the car.
Tim qualified the car at 19.865 faster that hes ever ran at CNS.....that put Tim in the 13th position.
Tim started on the outside pole of the 1st B-main then promptly got dropped back to 8th and that is where he finished.  The b-main finish started Tim in the 15th position of the A-main.  Within 14 laps Tim was working on 12th position and moving forward.......yes folks the car was very good......but as you can quess a caution flew and the car started to sputter as if it was out of gas.  Tim knew in his heart he had put gas in the car before the start of the A-main.  Tim and the car rolled to a stop and had to be pushed into the pits.  The guess is that the connector on the fuel pump had came loose and stop pumping gas into the carbs.
Tim finished in 18th place but the bright side The team is adding July 1st at Cns to its schedule.
With the way the car ran hopefully all of the demons have been kicked out of the car.
SEE YA JULY 1ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JULY 1st:
NEWS FLASH...........NEWS FLASH......NEWS FLASH
What an awesome night of racing for the Fuzz Motorsports Team.  The car was a rocket from the time it was unloaded.  Tim qualified the car at 19.418.....thats right folks 19.418 fastest Tim has ever been around the track.  Ty had to have CPR performed on him..........he questioned the timing device and demanded a recount.....he was sure the track had made a mistake.
With eight divisions at CNS...only A-mains were run, so the qualifing for a position in the A-main only, but with a little razzle-dazzle the track pulled a fast one and the top 16 were inverted.  Tim would have started 7th but instead started 10th with the inversion.  From the green flag Tim and the car were moving forward. After a couple of caution flags Tim was in sixth, the final laps were all about how well the car handled and Tim finally finding what he liked in the car.  The race had its final caution at lap 22........the race went green, white, checkered.  Tim eneded the night in 4th place.............THIS IS NOT A TYPO.........4TH PLACE................WHAT A NIGHT!!!!!!!!!
Next race July 15th at I25 speedway in Pueblo

July 15th:
Well describing Pueblo in July can only be summed up as driving on the face of the sun.  With the temp around 100 degrees plus........the race track was slick and hot.  The Fuzz Motorsports Team  was good in practice and come qualifing.........well by now you should know the story........Tim qualified at 14.938 which was 10th fastest.
The B-main was a good race with Tim starting fourth but being on the outside groove.....which was really slick Tim dropped back to 5th and that is where he finished.
Tim started on the outside of row one in the A-main but with the slick conditions had to dropped back to get in line.  After a heated battle with a driver that had a big mirror, Tim finished in 10th...........in all not a bad day with the third top ten in the last three races.
Next race August 12th at Colorado National
Speedway.

August 12th:Colorado National Speedway
BAD THINGS HAPPEN ON LAST LAP
What a perfect day for racing.....not to hot....not to cool..just about perfect.  In practice the car was as good as ever.....with Tim breaking into the 19.3 second bracket, the Fuzz Motorsports Team knew it was going to be a good day.
Tim qualified the car at 19.448......yes another top ten qualifing run...........is it the car...........is it the team..........is it just the fact ......IT'S ABOUT TIME.  The qualifing time put Tim in the 9th spot out of 23 cars.
The Fuzz Motorsports Team had a friend visting in the pits...Todd Rogers...a new father decided to see what this racing stuff is all about so the Team had to put on a good show.
Tim started in 4th place in the first B-main for the legends cars.  Tim dropped back to 8th after getting stuck in traffic.
Tim started the A-main in 15th spot....he dropped back to 17th and then found his spot and being to work his way forward.........on lap 20 the caution flag flew and Tim was in 11th place.  As the race went back to green Tim was working hard on10th place and racing for 11th at the same time.............but on lap 24......all hell brake loose.  The 6th place car decide it was time to win from there............although he was a half a lap behind the leaders.  The 6th place car made contact and four cars were collected in the crash.  tim hit the wall to keep from driving into the rear and possibly through the car ahead of him.  The number 16 car suffered right front damage disabling it for the last lap.........the car had to be towed to the pits.
Tim finished in 22nd place..........but the car was a top ten car till the crash. See the crash photo on the pixs page, click on the picture to see it larger.
The Fuzz Motorsports Team wants to thank the Neves Family for attending the race and coming into the pits after the race.....see the pictures on the picture page.
See you on September 3 at CNS

SEPTEMBER 3RD: CNS
What a great racing day.....none could be better, the temps hovered around 75 degrees.  The track surface was good and the race car was repaired.  Once again the car was good in practice, during time trials, the right front shock top came off thus leaving the race car with no right front suspension.  Tim still ran a 19.701 which if you think about it is pretty good with no shock.
The time placeD Tim on the pole for the second B-main, at the drop of the green flag Tim jumped into first place but with a caution flag or two Tim was dropped back and finished 5th out 16 cars...not to bad.
CNS took all 33 cars to the A-main.  The inversion of the A-main,which no one understands put Tim and the Fuzz Motorsports Team on the outside of the front row.  On the pace laps the pole sitter had an oil leak, which caused a red flag so the track crew could clean up.  At the drop of the green flag Tim was holding his own, but numerous caution 3 or 4 to be exact allowed the field to catch up and Tim would get passed.  Lap traffic in the latter stages of the race was a nightmere with some new drivers, slow cars and everyone running three wide it seemed.
Overall Tim finished 11th out of the 33 cars, no damage to the race car...........The Fuzz Motorsports Team will take that finished and move to the next race.........September 9th at CNS.....SEE YA THERE

September 9th CNS
Well it just keep getting better for the Fuzz Motorpsorts Team......You might know just before the end of the season.  Ty and Tim got the car just right and Tim was practicing the car in the 19.30 range....the best Tim has ever been at CNS.
As Qualifing approached the Team was in search of their first trophy dash.........but Tim had other ideas...on the first lap out of turn four the car got loose on Tim and he had to steer hard left to keep the car off the wall.  Tim spun ...crossed the start finish line backwards and still qualified at 19.51 which put him in the 10th spot out of 25 cars.  Not bad for a stunt driver.
Tim started 6th in his b-main and finished a strong 4th while battleing with 1st,2nd and 3rd place.
The A-main was due to roll off somewhere around 7pm but mother nature had other ideas a rain storm set in and everything was delayed by a hour.  At 930 pm the Legends cars rolled off with Tim starting in the 15th place........dont ask how Tim got back that far no one can answer how CNS does their lineups...we are sure it involves voodoo.
Tim drove hard passed some cars..final position 14th out of 25 cars.  No worries it was just a hard fought battle to the end.
The next race for the Team is September 23rd at CNS.  The Team has decided because of fuel costs and the track condition at I25 to forego that race.
The September 23rd will be the last one of the season for the RMLRA.

September 23rd: CNS
Well It comes to an end...the racing season for the Fuzz Motorsports Team is all done.  With a cold, cloudy, windy day the team was looking for a great race.  The car was good as always in practice, Tim had found his niche running in the 19.3 range.  Qualifing came around, of course as you remember Tim is not a good qualifier but alas times have changed Tim qualified 11th out of 27 cars at 19.453. Tim was out of the top ten by .03 of a seconds  thats a breathe of the throttle.
Tim was in the 1st b-main starting 3rd but Tim ended up 6th.
Tim started on the outside of the front row for the A-main.......dont ask us how....we cant explain it either!!!!
After some hard driving and a loose race car Tim finished the race in 11th place.   Tim managed to dodge 3 accidents.....in years past Tim would have been involved in those but not anymore!!!!

THIS YEAR HAS BEEN HAD ITS UPS AND DOWNS BUT THE FUZZ MOTORSPORTS TEAM HAS SURVIVED.  THE CAR IS IN GOOD SHAPE AND JUST NEEDS SOME MINOR REPAIR WORK.

THE TEAM WANTS TO THANK ALL OF ITS SPONSORS
